hi lavinia, photos are in album for daisy and tiko; last photos at last shoeing 9/30/19, only front shoes, if you enlarge the one photo will get a better look at hind feet. i think our ground is too

Retained sole - comfort question

Hard to tell, looks like retained sole finally letting loose. New sole underneath may not be ready. I would boot for a few days until new sole hardens up.

That is similar to how my horse's hooves look when he's in the process of or has already shed his frogs. I would wait for the experts to weigh in though, b/c I am often wrong. ;)

I have had the same experience, a thicker pad may make the boot unstable and not fit as well if it is a thicker pad than the depth of the boot can handle. Thats a good idea using softride pads in a

Would Thicker Pads Further Improve Boot Fit?
I have also tried thicker pads in various boots, and inevitably they made the boot not fit right and didn't work.
For quite some time now I have been using his Cloud boots with the Soft Ride inserts.
