soak search frustration
I need the right proportion of vinegar to water in order to soak thrushy hooves. The search led to a whole universe of things but not a simple"x cups of vinegar to y cups of water". Just ordinary 5%

Yes, you can use a human glucose monitor on a horse. You can search for "glucose monitor" on the main message list. But a glucose monitor won't give you insulin values, and insulin control is critical

Hi Susan,
While glucose is handy to know and can be used in conjunction with insulin to give you an idea of IR status, it's really insulin that is critical for determining laminitis risk. Some owners

My horse Taxi has HUGE sidebone. So large that i cannot get Scoot Boots on anymore. I switched to EC Fury heart. Seems to work. Anyhow, she should not have issues ridding. As far as i understand

Wow Wow, Thank you I will copy this! I am in search of a farrier that can trim. I was tarred and feather when I mention the trims were wrong. The feet were cracking and falling apart after 4 weeks. I

Hi Cindy,
I have taken the giant step of trimming my own horses now. I was so unhappy with the flaring and long toes and under-run heels that made both of my TB's soles very thin. I gave my farrier

First timer with Laminitis
I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly, I think I read all the necessary files. I do have a horse that was diagnosed with laminitis and I'm wanting to get him some help. We got him in June of 2017

Josephine, I just purchased hoof armor but didn’t apply it yet. Does it actually provide relief? It is such a thin layer that I’m not sure how it can work... can you tell me more?
