Heel ramping
Hi Lavinia. I am curious about when and why to do heel ramping? I have seen that this has been discussed in other hoof forums, but not really sure why I would do this, in what instances and what

Re: Cavallo Simple Boots Are Uncomfortable
Jeanne,
I just became a dealer for Equine Fusion boots because my clients had so many issues with Cloud boots falling apart over the last few months. EasyCare didn’t seem concerned about the issues

Hi Judy
Glory and I are both loving the Equine Fusion Recovery boots. She has been turned out in them for the last four days in a fresh snow. The boot tread does not collect snow and has better

Re: Cavallo Simple Boots Are Uncomfortable
Thanks for the responses. Jeanne, could you keep me posted about the Equine Fusion boots? I oiled the Cavello's Simple which made them much softer/pliable but haven't tried them again since.

Maxine...I don't check this subgroup often, but this came up on my radar. After trying Scotty in about a gazillion kinds of glue on shoes, and also Forma-Hoof, it became apparent that NONE of them

Re: collateral ligament, arthritis coffin bone
If the the extra-long trim cycle exacerbated that old injury, getting the trim really tightly balanced should help enormously. Agree with the vet that he might also benefit from some short-term NSAID

Re: collateral ligament, arthritis coffin bone
Do you have the radiographs available, Daisy?
If it's an arthritis issue Tendon EQ won't help.

Re: Cavallo Simple Boots Are Uncomfortable
--I had a very similar reaction with Cavellos with Glory. The heel of the boot was definitely not a fit for her at this time. She would also nose the boot to show her dislike. For now she is back

Re: Cavallo Simple Boots Are Uncomfortable
We find the Cavallo Trek boots comfortable, but there is a breaking in period, as they may have mentioned to you. The leather stretches a bit, like a shoe. They even have a short video describing it.

Re: Cavallo Simple Boots Are Uncomfortable
Sounds like the boots just aren't a good match for his feet at this time for some reason. That may change over time as his hooves become healthier or it might always remain a mismatch.

Cavallo Simple Boots Are Uncomfortable
I really like the design and simple use of my new Cavallo Simple Boots but as soon as I put them on Bugsy, he immediately starts lifting up the booted hoof. When both boots are on, he alternates them.

Re: please review samsons recent xrays
You're not the only one, Ellen.
I think it may be because the links were added manually to Vicki's signature without hitting "enter" after the link to make it "live". You can just copy/paste them into

Re: please review samsons recent xrays
Not a silly question.
I can do them even with the shoes but they won't be as precise as ones without because I can't see parts of the hoof.

Re: please review samsons recent xrays
Hi Vicky,
The toes need to be brought back further - RF more than LF. Because the soles are already too thin, absolutely NO trimming of the soles for any reason. I can't tell for sure but the heels

What exactly do I need to tell my farrier about the trim to have him correct it?
