Hi Maria,
Blood in the white line is from some kind of insult that happened previously, then was incorporated into that tissue and held there until it grew down. Kashmir has had mechanical-related

Blood in the white line
Kashmir has been trimmed today and there was some blood showing in the white line in all four hooves. He is not IR.
I would like to know reasons for this as I understand that blood in the white line

Re: Lavinia? how long to keep Lacey in wedge plates & wedge pads?
I have condensed all photos into one file with rads, and edited the folder title to reflect that. I deleted the extra folder.

Hi Kate,
It would be really helpful if you would condense all the photos/rads for Lacey into one album - no need to have separate ones. If you want input for Bunny, you can create a separate album for

Hi Kate,
Thank-you for creating case histories for both of your girls - it helps us hugely. Because both of your girls are IR, and Lacey is also PPID, you should keep all discussions about them -

Lavinia? how long to keep Lacey in wedge plates & wedge pads?
Hope this is not too much of an imposition, but I need to have some guidance from other than my (very young) vet.
I have had Lacey shod per vets instructions to the vet practice's contracted

Re: Hoof Workshops - NW Arkansas, Sept 2019
If you have any interest in learning more about how feet work, attending one of Ida's or Pete's workshops is well worth the price of admission.

Lavinia: Help For Hooves Please
Hello,
Takoma's front hooves have always had a multitude of problems. Believe it, or not, they were at one time even worse than this. I don't know that anyone has ever known what to do to help him,

Re: Retained Sole in the Fall
In general, leaving some extra sole in place is always preferable to removing too much. Exfoliating sole protects the live sole beneath from being exposed before it is ready. It wears off bit by bit
