Scientific evidence that too much Calcium causes sidebone?
Is there any scientific evidence that too much calcium in the horse's diet causes sidebone? In other words, will an excess of calcium, calcify a ligament in the horse's body instead of being excreted

Re: please review samsons recent xrays
Here are a few short clips. The ones done in the arena on the soft surface was taken after the concrete. I think the concrete made him much worse on the soft surface.

Would all that you described above, be the reason he is lame on the right front? Also, would it cause issues in the hind end as well? He is naturally very very toed in on the left

Searching for information here
Good morning,
I’m trying to find a post, preferably by a moderator or pro, that addresses how to trim a foot with a sunk but NOT rotated CB. There’s got to be one on here ☺️
Thanks!!

When I put my arena in, 20 plus years ago, I used a USDF booklet. I found this link to it. Not sure if you can still order it from the USDF. An important point is to use manufactured sand rather

This is a great tip, Regina. Thanks for the suggestion. As hard as I try to keep my pea stone clean, it’s nearly impossible.

Pink in white line?
I was rasping Abs front hooves and noticed he had pink showing up. No noticable difference in travel. I started soaking hay. Is this a current issue or is it just showing up from some time ago?
