My gelding was diagnosed navicular in 2015. He was shod in special shoes w/ pads for over 2 years, etc etc and nothing helped him. Turns out he had deep central sulcus thrush and was toe first landing

That is similar to how my horse's hooves look when he's in the process of or has already shed his frogs. I would wait for the experts to weigh in though, b/c I am often wrong. ;)
