My trimmer has I think a pony size? It's definitely shorter than mine which is a regular size.  Small one is perfect for horses who can't pick their feet up very high. My trimmer is 5ft tall. My hanoverian got fired by a farrier 10 years ago because he was difficult to trim his hind feet - but if you don't pick his feet up high he's perfectly behaved.

The Hoof Jack site has the "medium" for people under 5'10" (that's me). Is this  better than the regular? I am more concerned for the horse's comfort. This tool will make it so much easier than holding hooves between my knees!!
