Thank you to all of you that answered.
I bought a new toy today....based on all this talk about temperature in the hooves. Went to Radio Shack and bought a Non-Contact Infra Red digital thermometer.

When can I excursive my horse after a laminitis episode? 3 messages
Hi all -
I asked when can I start exercising my horse after a laminitis
episode.but haven't had any answers.
Is that because no one knows? Is there any protocol? How much hoof
needs to grow out?

question about posting x-rays 4 messages
I usually get copies (prints) of the digital x-rays from my vet. Can I
take a picture of these w/ my digital camera and use that to post here?
I can get them on a CD from the vet, but it is 3x more $$

Hoof Trim Pics for Review-Please 14 messages
Well, I wasn't crazy about my farrier's trim last time, so I treated
myself to a new rasp and tried it myself. I've posted pictures and
welcome constructive criticism from any /all of the trim gurus.

this height, the hooves will continue to toe-load, which can only add
to a further deterioration of the coffin bone. Toe loading
