Pure, pharmaceptical graded MagOx is white in colour and contains 60% magnesium. Feed graded MagOx isn't "pure" but contains contaminants and consequently less magnesium (usually between 55 – 58%). Depending on the contaminants the colour may not be as white as the pure MagOx. The MagOx from Horsetech, for example, contains a rather high amount of iron (the batch that was analysed when I ordered MagOx from HorseTech contained 9 240 ppm iron). This will influence the colour.

Thank you for offering this info! Can you also suggest a source for Mag Ox that is not contaminated with iron?
