My 4 geldings get VERY frustrated with the 1 1/4" nets. They do OK with the 1 3/4" nets. The smaller ones get dragged around a lot and not emptied, and I don't think my old guy gets enough to eat.
In fact, my two oldest are showing signs of ulcers after switching from round bales free choice to nets in June. It's better hay, but usually netted. I'm wondering if frustration is harming them.
