Magnesium supplementation has made a big difference in my mare's over the eye fat deposits; not yet sure about her crest - which is not large or very firm at this time.

Thanks Claudia.  I'll be pulling the hay sample this weekend and send it off on Monday.  I thought same thing but also wondered if it might be high in iron too.  He's given magnesium.  Mi's crest isn't large either, nor really what I'd call firm.
