Just wanted to add this from NRCPlus course:
"Oxalate: Bioavailability of oxalate from beet fiber is less than 1%.
Oxalate content is also offset by high calcium in beet pulp. Oxalate stones
do not form in the high alkaline equine urine. Oxalate toxicity from beet
pulp has never been documented."  Dr Kellon

Susan Garlinghouse's articles are very good. She also has a good one on Calcium:phosphorous, a question that cam up recently
