Yes I did look a the pics.  it did appear you have what I would call a crest bump, vs a full crest.   Beau develops these in two places.

If his ACTH is not controlled, his IR is very likely not controlled based on his labs.  I would pull him off the grass until you know better where you are. Our goal here is zero laminitis.
