Re: measuring minerals out
Maggie
Hi Erin, The most accurate way (no pun intended!) is weigh out your minerals. You can do it daily, which is how I do it. Takes me less than 3 minutes to weigh minerals once/day for 2 feedings for 2 horses. I bought this scale and really like it: http://www.amazon.com/My-Weigh-440-Z-Digital-Pocket/dp/B004QDTPFI/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1401789318&sr=1-1&keywords=pocket+scale+440+z But there are lots of other options available, some more and some less costly. Check out our file on "Minerals--weights and measures pdf" here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/EquineCushings/files/%203%20%20CORE%20DIET%2C%20ANALYSIS%2C%20NUTRITIONAL%20NEEDS/Vitamins%2C%20Minerals%20%26%20Ratios/ There are a couple of places to buy scales in that link too. You can also make a week or a month's worth at a time. We have a file on how to do that too. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/EquineCushings/files/7a%20Hay%20and%20Diet%20Balancing/ Maggie, Chancey and Spiral in VA
