The Equi-Tech test is done using NIR technology rather than wet chemistry, which relies on comparing the sample to other, similar types of samples for the results. The certifying authority for forage testing labs also does not recognize the NIR testing as being accurate for specific samples. That's why we don't recommend using it for balancing purposes. The Trainer uses wet chem.
