How was the arthritis diagnosed? How long has it been an issue? When was the last time she had her ACTH tested? How old is she? What form is your pergolide in (powder, capsule, liquid, Prascend)? Many times subclinical laminitis from uncontrolled PPID can masquerade as arthritis. Trim issues can also make a horse look like it is arthritic when in reality the hoof imbalances are causing body-wide compensatory soreness. Posting pics of her feet in the Photos section of ECHistory8 would help us to help you assess whether this is a factor or not.

NSAIDs like bute and firocoxib, which require a script from your vet, are bigger guns that may be something to consider but you need to balance the risks of long-term use with the benefits.
