Is this joint supplement safe for IR horses?

Does anybody know if the supplement "OCD Pellets" is safe for IR horses?  A friend of mine with an elderly horse with arthritis is raving about it.  Would like to try on my older IR horse but not sure if it's safe.

Thank you,
