I tried rinsing beet pulp in my laundry since in a small mesh laundry bag as well as in a colander. I was concerned about the quantity of silt, dirt, pulp particles, etc. that washed out and tended to clog the sink trap. I don't know if long term, this would have a bad impact on septic systems.
