I just wanted to add my heartfelt sympathy for all that you are going through. I'm so very sorry about Chardonnay. So many of us have lost our "heart horses," and on top of Jasper's hard times, it's so much for you to bear. Just know that after 26 1/2 years, you obviously gave her a very wonderful, long life and she was so very lucky to have you. It will take time for the hole in your heart to heal, but it will be filled with wonderful and happy memories, and she will be with you forever.

I lost my horse after 23 years, and Obi called out for a few days and then accepted the loss. Dr. Kellon gave you great advice, and I am sure Jasper will adjust. With this group's help, he will recover.
