Boy, I not much help here. This is way beyond my experience level. I would be calling again maybe you could ask for a referral to another specialist.

I would search the old messages for maggot therapy, maybe some other members will step-up with some ideas that have gone thru this before.

I remember other cases, but don’t remember details.

The smelly hoof doesn’t sound right. After you irrigate for cleaning the hoof.... I would make sure it’s dry before re-wrapping. I have used a hair dryer on cool setting to make sure that the hoof is dry. Dark and wet not a good environment.

I wish I was more help Sue. I know this is so hard..
