Will Cornell accept plasma from me or does it have to be submitted by a vet? After some expensive errors in dealing with this horse's issues, the fact I want to ensure it is done correctly and save money by not having them charge me to ship it.... I'm considering pulling Java's blood, packing it in ice water and taking it to the local vet to have them separate the plasma. Then take the plasma from them, freeze it, pack it on ice and ship it myself to Cornell. Have other people done it this way and is this acceptable for Cornell?
Also are there instructions on this site for collecting and submitting blood for a glucose test?
