I had clogs put on my foundering mare and it has made all the difference in the world.  She was lame for weeks before she got them and no meds helped her.  Shortly after she got the clogs, she lost one in the mud and she went lame again.  She had been put in a larger area to get more exercise but she refused to move, even for food and water.  We got the clog replaced and put her back in the smaller paddock and she's much more active.  We are still trying to find what is setting off her blood sugars.  I now plan to send in a hay sample thanks to recommendations on this site!
