Hi Ellen,

If you are going to test for iron you need to send the sample to KSU to get serum iron, ferritin and TIBC done. KSU is the only lab that can do the ferritin part of the testing. Serum iron alone won't tell you much other than give an indication about the iron content of the most recent meal:
