Re vitamin E.  Jewel used to spit hers out too. Now i add them to her soaked hay cubes as a carrier...but mix them up early in the morning fiir evening feed or even the night before if its cool enough and fermentatioo is not an iseue. Bingo all is gone. Worth a try
