New Scotty hoof photos uploaded
Deb Walker
I am hoping Lavinia or someone can comment/make suggestions. Farrier was out on Monday and plans to stop tomorrow. We are kind of not seeing the changes we are looking for on his front feet from the ramping. We are both pleased with how his back feet are doing. I realize everything is not the same in a photo as it is when you have the hoof in your hand.
I asked my new farrier what would you do differently if you weren't doing the ramping. He said he would tend to square it off from the farthest back edge to about the middle of the hoof. I might not be wording that exactly correct, but it would be as you drew a line from where it is ramped on the back side by his heel, and connected it about half way up towards the toe. He does not take offense at all at suggestions from this board, which is definitely a blessing. Thank you in advance. -- Deb and Scotty I/R, PPID Pecatonica Illinois, May 13, 2019 Case History: https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/files/Deb%20and%20Scotty Photos: https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/album?id=90619 |
