That has to be one of the most beautiful tributes ever written. Very personally your story - and everyone's story at the same time. Your husband may have struggled to understand the why but he obviously understood the what.

The circling you described is a classical sign of a vestibular problem. With the history of it occurring after dental work/speculum use the most likely explanation by far is temporohyoid osteoarthropathy: https://www.vetfolio.com/learn/article/vestibular-disease-temporohyoid-osteoarthropathy .

Given her history, it's not likely her pituitary was enlarged enough to be putting pressure on the brainstem. Even if it  was, the area under the pituitary is the optic chiasm and pressure causes blindness. The vestibular nuclei are located  much further down.
