Re: Feeding suggestions for horse that can no longer eat hay
Deb Walker
Sharon - When I moved my 35-40 year old horse to our own home/not boarded 3 1/2 years ago I never in a million years would have ever thought he could never eat hay again. After boarding, I thought that all I needed to do was to find the *right* hay that he could eat. I was wrong. He couldn't. Scotty exists on JUST soaked ODHTB cubes, soaked, RSR (rinsed soaked rinsed) beet pulp, and the supplements that Dr. Kellon has recommended for him.
It's an expensive journey, but when our horses lose their ability to process/eat hay, we run out of choices very quickly. I just want to assure you that after 3+ years, it works. -- Deb and Scotty I/R, PPID Pecatonica Illinois, May 13, 2019 Case History: https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/files/Deb%20and%20Scotty Photos: https://ecir.groups.io/g/CaseHistory/album?id=90619 |
