locked tramadol

I searched messages about tramadol but I honestly don’t remember reading about it in years in years in years. i used to give it to my dog till it was showing the dogs have zero receptors for tramadol. And I don’t remember it ever being mention for a laminitic pain in horses. is tramadol used when other better options havent worked well?
