The trim needs a lot of attention to be sure and there is a lot of bone loss but as long as she's still eating and comfortable there's no reason to put her down just because of that.  I agree that you need current bloodwork to check her metabolic status and then you need to find somebody who is willing to work with you on fixing the trim if you are not comfortable working on it yourself.
