For determining that the forage has safe levels of ESC and Starch for a horse with EMS, she's wrong. That isn't balancing, but rather a test to establish  suitability for an EMS horse. Accuracy is critical.

For balancing minerals only, she's right -- because both tests use the exact same methods to determine minerals like calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.
