Thanks Nancy, I have not given up on Dixie, I just was not expecting such a dreadful prognosis when Dixie is not showing any different behaviour, so it has certainly rattled me.  I have only had the one delivery of hay since joining the group and that was tested, with the diet balanced to that, but only have a couple of bales left.
