You can feed it in something else but you need to be 10000% sure that the Prascend is getting in him and not falling to the floor or being spit out.  I will use a standard 3cc syringe for most horses but if needed a drench syringe to get it all the way to the back of their mouth is the best method IME.  Small Flock Drencher - Premier1Supplies is just one example.
