Is there a difference between dried grasses that are dead annuals and dried grasses that are perennials (pasture grass). I would love to be able to assign my horses to cleaning up the dry, spent Califoria annual weed grasses to reduce fire risks.  I normally mow a few times during the rainy season, but would love to be able to get the horses to clean up the leftovers along the fence line or a small amount of regrowth.
