Hi Kandace. Which horse are you refering to J or K? When the insulin levels are this high it can trigger laminitis and pain in the feet.

Because of the diet changes- what exactly did you feed the morning of the test besides the hay? 

If the horse is in "light work" and has been sound to ride- I would be increasing the exercise- 30 minutes a day (or more,if horse is able)  of a working trot and a working walk would be very helpful in moving that insulin level down.
