hi CTaylor. You can still soak your hay and allow it to dry and then feed it to your horse. Soak the hay in cold water for one hour, rinse it and then you can spread it out on a table...if you can find a sorting table that they use for skirting sheep wool or for sorting vegetables it will be like a metal grate and the hay can dry from both sides...you still would need to turn it over, but it would decrease the dry time. Soaking hay is a must if you don't know the sugar content. I woud focus energy on soaking the hay and don't worry about minerals right now. Once you get him eating the hay that has been soaked and dried, then you can send a sample of the soaked and dried hay for mineral balancing. But first, soaking and drying is your best bet...
