Re: Penny's getting a cold
Sandra, you need to take her temperature. Colds are rarely a problem unless they are off feed. However, I'd settle for some light longing (if no fever) to assess her soundness and skip the riding.

Nancy, what test was performed to diagnose Cushings? What symptoms of Cushing's does he show - long hair coat? Or just overweight with high insulin? Insulin is not diagnostic of Cushings Disease,

21 year old pony starting Pergolide
Thanks Lavinia and everyone for your help - I started Duffy on 1/4
tab of the Pergolide yesterday (Saturday) at 12:30 p.m. - He doesn't
seem to like the taste of the tabs, and tried to spit it out.

Nancy, she is ADORABLE, and just look how happy your kids are with her, and she with the attention they are giving her!
That lighter "band" on her hoof is the new, healthy hoof trying to grow in

I'm sorry to hear that your mare is having such a rough time.
With a high insulin level, it's important to get the diet under
control to help make her more
