I've seen more tears in blankets in 20 years than I've seen "stuck"
horses. Many, many, many tears depending on the horse :-)

Thanks to you, Eleanor and Julie, for your helpful advice. I knew blanketing was an option, but like Julie, I didn't want them to actually hurt themselves by catching it onto something and gettting in

Finally - ACTH results back on Hope...now what...
I went over to trim Hope this AM. I was pleasantly surprised to see
her navigating about with her boots and pads. Owner says that for the
last several days she has been off her feed and lying down

Hi Eleanor -
Thank you so much for your help - he's been on the Pergolide since
this past Saturday - 1/4 tab per day - I'm adding another 1/4 tab
tonight and will gradually increase to 1 tab per day

His ACTH has risen into a range where I'd definitely get him on
pergolide. That progression probably has a good bit to do with why his
insulin is so much higher if there haven't been any dietary

Eleanor -
I called my vet's office - the results, acth baseline-33.20 and
insulin baseline-58.12 were results from last year-12/19/06. The
correct report is the one with the higher numbers

Nancy,
I don't "get" it either. Better call the lab. There's IR by both sets
of results but only one is positive for Cushing's (vs high normal).
