Re: Hay Analysis - need to soak?
-Thanks for the lab info - I did start soaking the hay today and will
pull some hay and get things rolling. I just get so annoyed when I
ask for the test from my lab and they don't do it

Re: Leg Warmers for Horses
I have used socks and leg wraps on my pony all winter but I made them
from insulated people socks and leg warmers. They work great and are
much cheaper.

Interesting, but it kinda makes me cringe to think of pulling
something like that up against the growth grain of the hair. Maybe
it's a "me" thing....

I wonder if leg warmers for people would work just as well because they
are less expensive :-)

Re: Altered diet for Kasha--please tell me if I'm doing right
What were the probiotics for, and why do you now think they're unnecessary?
One of the list members, Claire aka witchylady, sells a mix I've heard some good things about.
Do you need devil's claw

Depending on what time of year his ACTH level was done, he might not
be Cushing's at all. It may have been a seasonal high. A cresty neck

Re: cushings horse- ATT: Dr. Kellon
Henry had a cresty neck which I thought might be his thyroid. I had the vet do blood work and the results came back that his ACTH level was elevated. The vet said he was pretty sure he had cushings.

Re: Morgan's sore feet/was Lucy departed --
To Lorna,
She's fairly tall (compared to the other Morgans we have owed). I'd say 15.0--15.1. She isn't heavy, she looks more like a Morgany Saddlebred.
I wasn't thinking Cushings. Lucy that

Natural or not, when it's influencing the way the body works it is a drug.
They have been used together but we have no information at all on whether
the combination is better, worse, or totally

Yes, however lots of times it is mixed with yucca or something else
that IR horses cannot have. I do currently use the DC mix done by
Witcheylady but what I'm looking for is something to slow down
