Re: Test of Standlee Beet pulp pellets returned
That's what I really liked about Standlee. The other two brands I can get in
my area are full of other stuff I have to pick out by hand.

Re: D-Carb Balance; Glycocemic EQ; Remission; etc
Once you balance your hay, Horsetech will do a custom supplement.
They are fairly reasonable.
Custom supplements are usually less expensive than all the things we
normally throw at our horses.

Re: Test of Standlee Beet pulp pellets returned
I have the pellets that soak up too.
It takes about 4-5 hours for my pellets to "go soft".
Then I rinse, rinse, rinse till the water's clear.
And serve with love.

Re: Reply to fivepine ranch - Update on Vista - initial case history Sept 2007
Hi Edain,
What I *think* I'm seeing is either 1. early cushings or 2. ovarian
issues.
I base this thought on 1. Loss of topline. Muscle wasting.2.
Enlarged udder (for many years).
When I put Dazzle

Re: 1b. Test of Standlee Beet pulp pellets returned
The Feed Rite sample I recently tested (pelleted beet pulp) also came back at 12.2% sugar. Since the starch has always been under 1% I quit testing that.
When I spoke to someone from Midwest Argi

Lori and Linda,
Yeah, I soaked a few handfuls just to see how they softened up and how much

Re: Newcomer/Question About Flax Seed
We get our bulk flax seed at a Menonite Bulk Food Store. It's $3.16 for a
full pound and is excellent. Most health food stores should carry it in
bulk.

Ginger, is #8 one of the "chewing" teeth rather than an incisor? I don't know for sure but my equine anatomy book shows twelve upper and twelve lower back there, on each side. My 30 yo mare ate hay

Re: D-Carb Balance; Glycocemic EQ; Remission; etc
Thanks for your reply. Where would I get custom-made minerals? I had thought of that, but the thought of having to find every separate mineral my horse needed to balance the hay ration and mixing it
