My little Shetland, Tommy, has melanomas under his dock and also inside his
sheath. I was, like you, so distraught about them and the only suggestion
the vet gave was to give him Zitac

I took a quick look at your spreadsheet and at first glance looks like your old mineral mix is close to what you new hay will need but not exact. You need more phosphorus this time

I've learned that flax seed oil is extremely sensitive to light and oxygen, so IMO you would have to use an oil that comes in a dark bottle and has some sort of device that lets the oil out but no air

In your photo of the LF, there appears to be a *dent* under the coronet band - but it's not well defined in that photo. It is possible that the hoof wall is prolapsing or being pushed up

Linda gave a good explanation and I have also been following some horses on high WSC hay who have not had any problems, BUT... if you know your horse and you know that she does best on <12% NSC and

Yes, there are some who cling tightly to the fructan theory of laminitis from the higher WSCs found in some hays. Fructan does not convert to glucose. Fructan in large, large, large doses

Rightio...I won't let him on grass. I'll also arrange for sand to be delivered because trying to get sawdust is a 2-3 week wait.
And yes it was after the trim and the next day that he was running

No - realigning the hoof capsule with the bones is not aggressive. Perhaps it's what has made
