Season rise for N. Ca
Hi does anyone know when the seasonal rise should be for N. Ca? I know it varies from hemisphere to hemisphere. I would like to get one more draw in around the end of August. Thanks

Re: Does IR worsen with age?
So it sounds like even without the effects of PPID creeping in that IR could worsen to the point of trouble simply as the horse ages, assuming they are the IR type and are not grossly mismanaged to

Re: Whiskey can't seem to lose weight, please help
Ah, ha! Thanks Linda. I wondered about that but I figured since the DE was expressed in Mcal/lb that the horse's weight should be expressed in pounds as well.

Horsetech minerals - bad or not?
I have a huge bag of Horsetech minerals. Probably three month's left of it. I read one of Dr. Kellon's posts here about them smelling like varnish when the flax base goes bad from getting too

Now most horses would be thrilled with 37 pounds!
I'm sure the value should be in Kgs and not pounds, so if your horse is 1000 pounds, he would be 454 Kgs.

Does Move-Ease Interfere with IV Tildren?
I am currently adding Move-ease to Pabatsa's ration in the evening. He is getting an IV (Drip) of Tildren this week. Does the Move-Ease interfere in any way?

I screwed up!
So...after my last vet visit for sping shots and my horse Melody being in the uncompensated range but not nearly as bad as she was before her 2 mg of pergolide, I made the mistake of letting her graze

Re: blood tests advice needed.
Yes, that would work I think. Four hours from his breakfast but while on hay and turn out. It should give you an accurate read of what he's eating.
Just so you know, the grass, even with a muzzle,

Hi Nancy-- Thanks so much for the quick and thorough response. I will do the tests you recommend. My next question is timing and prep. Would it be wrong to allow Cory to have his normal morning
