Re: Thoughts on Nutrena Empower Balance for my Laminitic Cushings gelding
Hi Ann,
Need some more info from you. What do you mean by "is the only supplement he can tolerate"? Do you have a case history up for your boy?
It has 5% fat (want no more than 4%), starch is max

Cutting Prascend
Hello,
My pony is on a 1/4 tablet of Prascend, and I am finding it hard to divide the already small pill into 1/4 pieces. I purchased a pill cutter yesterday, and it doesn't do any better than I can

Advice for keeping ir pony in with two non ir horses
So after my husband spent almost two hours fixing the fence the horses got out again. So it looks like they are going to have to stay in with Mikey until we figure out what to do with the fence

Re: Question about Equi-Analytical lab tests
I, like you, am only able to get small batches of hay at a time, so I only test the Sugar/Starch levels. I use the Carb Pack ($30) now... was using the custom one but since it's only $2 difference

Re: Supplements
Hi Lori,
That would depend on the hay analysis.
Can you add a case history link to your signature when you post ?

Re: Question about Equi-Analytical lab tests
If you only are interested in sugar and starch values you can ask for a custom package. This will be $28 or choose the Carb Pack (644) for $30.

Pill stuffed carrot
For those who've had trouble getting their horses to take their pergolide capsules, I wanted to share my success. I cut a 1" piece of carrot, put a nail through it and stuff the capsule inside.

Prascend vs Compounded Pergolide
My vet says she's seeing better results with Prascend than compounded pergolide - and says it's much more stable than compounded. I'd like to hear the experience/feelings of others.

Supplements
I'd like to hear of the various supplements people are using who feed only bermuda hay. Majik has rejected one already, so I'd like to hear what's been helpful to those on the group.
Thanks
