You need to have that 16 y/o tested for cushings. Fall laminitis is often the first, repeat first, sign of laminitis, so yes, your horse IS showing signs of PPID.

Need laminitis advice ASAP
My 16 yr old appaloosa Rocky (not Rossi who is PPID) seems to have laminitis for the first time. Sore in the front feet, doesn't want to walk. Weighting hind legs but not camped under. Eating well,

certainly a bonus.
If there is any question of laminitis being ongoing DO NOT exercise.

To walk or not?
During a laminitic episode (horse is chronic laminitic since 18 months ago) which was most likely precitipated by a g.i.upset, should we still try exercise at walk? I have read never force exercise

sed is not foot sore and has been sound apart from a couple of times after farrier only mild soreness over 24hrs
re dex test my vet was advised to do dex over eACTH as in her

Well now, that depends. I use the ODTB's for my carrier and also dry in NoseIt's. The consistency is not always the same. Sometimes they are rather soft
