Hi Beverly
The horse is eating leaves off the trees.
What is the sugar/starch content or other that is in the leaves vs tincture or dried herb.

Re: Apple Flavored Doxy
Hi Deborah,
The apple flavoring is not an issue.
Some horses eat it fine mixed in their feed. Others need to have it syringed in. I have one of each so experience both ways. When syringing I mix it

Re: Hay Testing question
Hi Holly,
If you are going to feed the hay combined then you can mix the samples and mineral balance to that. Otherwise, ideally you'd want to test each one and balance to each one as it is fed.

*LOL* when I get bills for my horses, I remind myself of all the pleasure they have given me over the years - I would spend my last penny on them and I know you also would.

Re: Hay Testing question
This year our hay supply came from three different farmers. My question is, is it possible/advisable to combine the samples for one test and mineral balance or no?
thanks so much for all you

Hi Bonnie,
I've tried now 4 times to respond to this post, and my messages are deleted for some reason. My horse has same problem. His gut does best on fresh grass of any species and high fiber hay
