Does anyone know if EXCEDE an injectable antibiotic is safe for an IR/Cushings horse? I need to know so I can give it to him now or return the med on Friday.
Thank you.

Coral, Adding on to my post regarding a topical suggestion for Po. If you go to the document "What to do about Cullicoid Sensitivity there are some suggestions for "physical barriers".

Hi Coral,
There is a document in the Files "Updated Deworming Guidelines" that you may find helpful. In my experience a sheath in need of cleaning and/or Pinworms will cause tail rubbing. Since

A thought: if Jasper is calmer, you may be able to try the ace again, if needed.

If u havent dewormed in awhile, you might want to submit a fecal sample to check for parasites and do a fecal egg count to determine how much load (if any) he's carrying. You may be able to drop off

Diazepam is notorious for being irritating IM. It is recommended to go IV. Oral absorption is highly variable between species and has not been studied in horses so no dosing guidelines are available

What causes this? I haven't wormed him in quite a while because of his laminitis. His lameness is much better, but I wouldn't call him sound yet by any means. I'm hesitant to call the vet because
