Re: Re-testing and breeding questions
Hi Karen,
I believe that all the tests can be run from one plasma sample, but you can certainly call Cornell and confirm that with them prior to submission.
As far as breeding - I read your original

Hear hear, and thank you Dr Kellon.
As a human suffering and stuck in the middle of all this for many years I really feel for animals who also have vector-borne infections like Lyme.
For anyone

Re: Re-testing and breeding questions
Thanks for the clarification on the tests that should be run. It looks like all 4 tests can be run from the EDTA plasma sample. Is that correct?
Java has had the 5 panel test. She is N/N on all

Hi Karen,
Good on you for seeing these things. Agree it is a bit confusing. Part of the problem is we are using a 2-D medium to look at 3-D objects.

I forgot to mention that he won't eat his timothy cubes or alfalfa cubes if minerals are present. The vet has already checked his mouth and nothing is wrong.

Hi Maryse,
We don't recommend either rice bran or rice bran oil because they have an upside down Omega 3:6 ratio. Omega 3's are anti inflammatory, Omega 6's pro inflammatory. We use ground flax seed

Re-testing and breeding questions
I'm going to re-test my horse for ACTH considering there are questions as to how it was handled, the fact it was collected when it was 30 degrees, and it was not processed by Cornell.
Cornell's $44

Since she was just starting pergolide, I tapered up to her prescribed dose of 1mg. I started at .25 mg and added .25 mg every few days until I got to the full dose of 1 mg.

Re: simplifying Lily's feed when I'm away

Rice Bran vs RB Oil
Is rice bran oil better to feed than rice bran since the oil doesn't have the starch? Wouldn't this be a safer bet for an IR horse, or am I missing something? My horse isn't fat or overweight right
