I second that Helen. Eliminates the need for nippers on hoof wall. A fantastic rasp for anyone who wants to "trim" without turning into a sweaty exhausted mess after one hoof!

There are IR horses that can tolerate some alfalfa - just no way to predict which ones! Rained on hay doesn't exclude using it for IR horses if it was well dried after being rained on. In fact, that

Unfortunately this is the hay I have been feeding my horse as no other hay around that is even close to working. Found some that was suppose to be Timothy but it was Orchard Grass

Cinnamon lowers glucose in horses but does not help IR. Rhodiola rosea is safe to try. We don't have enough information yet to be certain of dosage but 1 to 3 tsp/day is a reasonable place to start.

Hate to say it but I'd pass on this hay. You can test for molds but it's expensive. Steaming keeps molds from being inhaled but doesn't protect from systemic effects from intestinal absorption. Mold

Thanks Claudia for understanding. We are on such a tight budget so we have to pick one or the other hay analysis and mineral balancing or CTM. I do like the plus, have had decent results for that on

Jesse always has hi insulin.. It wont go down.. he is exercised and fed and balanced tightly.( recent feed was tested and new custom mix to be ordered)
