Re: Still confused about deworming
I am interested in this topic because I have often wondered how my horses could possibly have worms when we pick up all manure on their dry lot daily.

WAS: Is flax and magnesium still needed for my IR horse? NOW: returning to work
Hi Deb and Bev
Returning to exercise can vary for individuals, depending on the quality of the trim prior to the incident, the extent of rotation or descent if any, how well the new hoof is growing

Is there a possibility that they are in my area and I just don't what they are packaged under? If not is there a way to get them shipped to me?
Thanks!

Thanks Jean!! That's exactly who I was talking about. She is checking with her rep and trying to get this in. Are you using the same or did you find something comparable?
Thanks!

Cami and Robyn
I'm interested in your manure management strategy, as it seems to me that will influence the amount of worm larvae that a horse has access to ingest. Do you pick up manure or leave it,

I certainly hope BS does carry it. I get mine at either the Farmyard Store in Derby or Guys Farm and Yard in Morrisville.

Hi Karen. I did do a glucometer reading myself although some time later and it was 5mmol/l far above the test result of 1.1. I will repeat this tomorrow when the vet is here. Thanks

Hi Deb,
Happy to hear that your horse is improving also. I first started riding my horse lightly with padded boots on about two months ago. He did quite well but I just rode for a few minutes around

Re: Is flax and magnesium still needed for my IR horse?
Hi Eleanor,
My hay test states that my mixed hay has "As Sampled: Magnesium .18% and .82 g/lb"
I've been googling what I can find about how much a 1,000 horse needs in magnesium per day and cannot

Re: Custom Minerals
That is what I have always done with my HorseTech supplement.. I didn't think there's a possibility I couldn't do it that way!... so I am definitely interested to hear if this is okay.

Re: Custom Minerals
Jean , no reason not to split the supplement into AM and PM. I would imagine most of us supplement this way, I know I do.
