Re: New diagnosis for my horse
Ronelle, I had a mare that developed uveitis and concurrent glaucoma. She eventually went blind in that eye due to the cataract that formed, but she stayed very comfortable with the eye by using daily

There is no fixed dose for PPID. The 5 mg dose is what has been determined to suppress prolactin and MSH in normal horses. There may not be a direct conversion factor with PPID. I posted dosage

Re: cabergoline changeover???
An email to BET Labs got me this information: "Unfortunately we do not ship to Canada." Looks like an end to finding a cheaper treatment program for Lad.

Thanks for your reply, LJ. My horse, Logo, is about the same age as Jesse and using a similar dose of pergolide. I expect he will continue to need an increase in dose so I’ll be most interested in

Pat, I just want to offer you support as you work your way through all of this. It’s so clear that you have Savannah’s best interests at heart and are working so very hard to bring her health

As with pergolide, there is no one size fits all dosage. There are horses on from 0.5 to 2.5 mL. Using a 3 mL syringe you can titrate dosage in 0.1 to 0.25 mL intervals. It is recommended to start

Re: A few questions....
Hi Heather - I just wanted to give you a thought on the hoof boots. Getting a larger size will cause them to twist. Some people have good luck w/ putting a pair of socks on the hooves and the boots

Thank you very much.
