Re: BET Labs/Permax

are many thoughts out there on its use. My first vet had me start at
.75gm/day and then I was to decrease to .25gm/day

Re: Isoxuprine
Jackie,
My gelding foundered 2 years ago. After he was to the point where
he
was off bute and I could start exercising him again we found that he
was short strided-didn't want to push from behind.

Thanks for the feedback on Isoxuprine. I should clarify that when I'm monitoring Bug's pedal pulses, and find them to be a concern (which isn't often), I give a low dose of Isoxuprine for several days

BET Labs/Permax
I had an interesting talk with Heather at BET Labs yesterday. My vet drew blood for a Cushing's panel about 9 days back, and I was impatient for the results (her office was closed yesterday).

V. Clemons - I second Robin's request - what online pharmacy are you using
and what are they charging for the Permax? I'm now up to 1.25gm/day and, at
my present price, that's $5/day!
Take care,

Re: starting permax
Hi, everyone,
Very basic question: What is the difference between permax and
cyproheptadine? Due to cost we want to consider all our options. Currently
Strider gets 20 cypro pills a day. Thanks!

skin infections
I was thinking the same thing Robin, most skin infections are staph
or
fungal so an antibiotic or antifungal injection/pill may help. Can
they scrape it and culture it to see whats growing there?
